Besides its 10 bedrooms, Château de Montastruc has several sitting rooms, a large dining room, a library, a kitchen and a chapel, and 16 fireplaces in all. It is rented fully furnished and equipped, and the kitchen is freely available to the tenants.

Is the swimming pool open all year?

The swimming pool at Château de Montastruc measures 14 metres by 6. Its usual opening season runs from May to September; outside that season, tenants should check before arrival whether the pool is ready for use.

Is the château heated?

Château de Montastruc can be heated. Heating is not included in the rental price: the heating oil meter is read on arrival and on departure, and the oil used is charged at the “Fioul Premier” market price at the time of the rental, for delivery to Lamonzie-Montastruc (fioulmarket.fr).

Can a wedding or a party be held at the château?

Château de Montastruc is rented for family gatherings, holidays with friends, weddings and receptions. No more than twenty people stay at the château. Above 20 people on site, tables, chairs and tableware must be hired. For 20 to 40 people, the former kitchens in the basement can receive the guests. Above 40, a marquee in the forecourt and the hire of dry toilets are required.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not accepted at Château de Montastruc as a general rule. The owner may agree to them case by case, before the booking, and they are never allowed in the swimming pool.

Is a security deposit required?

A security deposit of 2,000 euros is required for the rental of Château de Montastruc. It is returned by bank transfer after departure, less any repairs falling to the tenant.

Is Château de Montastruc open to visitors?

Château de Montastruc is a private property and is not open to visitors. The whole property has been listed as a historic monument since 2001. It is let for seasonal rental, as a whole property, to one group of tenants at a time.
